Happy Mother’s day!

She was born on the night before Christmas, and I think that was one of the reasons why she has been a figure of pure love to me ever since I’ve known her. She is the fifth among five siblings, and even her mother would justify that she has been the sweetest daughter she had. She had a struggling childhood life because of sickness, but grew up with fear of God and strong family ties. She spent her college days away from the family. She found her first and true love at work in her first job—my father. They got married, and been sharing lives together for almost twenty-eight years now. She was gifted with three children, whom she poured all her love and care.
She always tells me that her children are the most precious things to her that she could give up anything for them. And I’ve witnessed how she keeps those words all through these years. From the field of Banking, she transitioned to full-time mother and housewife the day that I met her. She was the reason why I would just have to wake up in the morning, and I already had breakfast on the table. She would prepare my school uniform, shoes and school bag, while I was taking a bath. Then she would bring me to school, and patiently wait till the class is over. She was there when I had my long-years of medication for my blood. And I could still remember how much she cried, whenever I would feel pain.
I have known her for almost twenty-seven years now, and she’s the only person I met in my life who never left me. She’s the only person who never changed the love she has been giving me all these years. Most of the time, I miss to tell her how much she means to me, but I love her so much. She’s the woman who teaches me the unselfish kind of love, and friendship—my mother. Happy Mother’s Day!
